What do you do if you've just been hired to write a feature-length action movie script centered around racing, crashing and fixing cars -- subjects about which you know nothing? If you're world-famous writer and television producer Lee Goldberg, (whose credits range from writing episodes of Spenser: For Hire, Hunter and Baywatch to producing Diagnosis Murder,) you contact Apex for help.
Apex Marketing Strategy President Sam Barer received a technical consulting credit for helping to breathe automotive realism into this fictional story of an American mechanic and those around her leveraging the action of the gritty street racing scene in Germany to suit their individual goals. From initial treatment to the actual dialog, Apex worked with Mr. Goldberg to get the story accurate and believable.
Corresponding with the recent release of the movie on DVD, Mr. Goldberg regrouped members of the Fast Track: No Limits team, including actors and Mr. Barer for an interactive webcast to answer fans' questions and discuss the experience of developing and finishing the feature.
